    Video Editing Software recommendation

I believe it's still Free, but there is a version of BlackMagic's DiVinci Resolve for Windows that can do video editing.. Once you learn it, it's really worth the $295 price-tag.. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve

Need a hand finding a good deal on a laptop

AMD or Intel?? I've got the HP 16.1" OMEN 16-b1020nr Gaming Laptop (i7-12700H) equipped with a 3070. It's got 32GB RAM and I installed my own 2TB NVME drive (SKHynix Sapphire P41). Paid $1200 for the laptop and another $170 for the drive. Zero complaints.. Works like a champ. I'm sure...

You sure that's not related to the GPU switching? I have that similar behavior on my HP Omni laptop (mind you only a 3070 and not 4080). Congratulations on a great build though!

Proliferation of Type C ports/devices... yet motherboards/cases are slow to catch up.

Exactly.. Everything I'm connecting won't saturate a 10Gbit pipe.. I am currently dedicating my sole USB-C connection to its own hub for attachments of my External Drives (NVME, SATA, etc.)

Proliferation of Type C ports/devices... yet motherboards/cases are slow to catch up.

I am still heavily using USB A interfaces.. On my systems I have anywhere from 6 to 10 USB cables coming out of the back for various devices and whatnot. Only recently have I been utilizing USB C connections more and more. A few more than 1 port in the back of the motherboard would be nice.

ASRock Phantom Gaming Z790 RIPTIDE WIFI Motherboard Review

Yeah.. Intel was on the PCIe limiting bandwagon a while ago. Sadly, AMD followed suit shortly thereafter. Your only saving-grace if you're looking for more PCIe lanes is to go the Server Motherboard route or HEDT with AMD's Threadripper series.

    Building to building wireless link

Very short... We're talking ~200Ft. for one beam, and ~150Ft. for another. Signal strength for both hover around the -52 to -56db range. I could aim them better, but they are both performing rock solid.. Do NOT try to do a beam connection through a surface (glass, wall, etc.) These units...

    Building to building wireless link

The one thing I've noticed with 2.4Ghz networks, is that they perform horribly if there is the slightest inkling of interference (other 2.4Ghz bands, etc.) As long as your connection is solid and the bandwidth fits your use-case, congratulations!! I've got multiple building to building links...

    Rate my budget workstation build

Arctic Cooling has nice coolers.. I'm sure it's more than sufficient for the 13600KF part. You could save some $$ by shifting to a 240MM cooler vs. the 360MM cooler.. As for the 3060 vs 4060, they both perform similarly.. Whichever you can get cheaper is the one I'd go with..

MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI Motherboard Review

Yeah. I was kinda taken-aback at the level of complaints made against the current Intel i225/i226 solutions. Intel used to have rock solid adapters, and was what you'd strive for getting.
