I have to admit, so far, when idea people split off and form their own private labels after having had some success with a big developer/publisher - they have been fairly lackluster. Yeah, ideas are important. So are resources, and not all constraints are bad.

I don't think I do - but that is kind of the scary part here, you may have one and not know it. Many dealers just blanket install them on everything, and do a good enough job of hiding them. And if they can't convince you to pay for it... they just leave it in there.

Yeah that was the biggest reason I stopped paying for Cable OTA was free, with ads. Cable/Satellite - you pay (a lot) for, and still have the ads anyway (maybe even more ads). There are entire channels dedicated to just being ads on Cable... it got to be rediculous.

We get 3 or 4 of these a month for Microsoft, in-between the "Microsoft Update nukes your computer/fills your hard drive/bricks your laptop" self-inflicted damage. And a handful a year for Linux. You get one in a blue moon for Apple and it becomes headline worthy. Not sure what that says...

I'll admit if my current machine crapped out, I'd consider it, looking at it as a replacement and the cost of building a new gaming rig from scratch today. But it makes for an expensive curiosity when I have a more capable gaming computer on my desk.

I agree - pretty cool here. I'm kinda surprised physical distribution stuck with CDs and didn't move to this route, but I guess it kinda died before it had the chance to make the technology shift (despite the internet cries going out to Sony lately - the vocal minority).
