Honestly 3 years ago I would have said a gaming laptop as your primary device is a waste of money, you're over paying for sub standard performance. Now a days... you're paying less of a performance tax for a high end gaming laptop than you are for a 5090... so go for it.

Honestly if I could get Non RGB link fans.. (like from Corsair) and it was a price difference that wasn't worse than the availability chase... then I would have bought them. But when I was building it was pre AI destruction of all prices for everything... and availability for the corsair...

My MSI card thus far feels solid, but I am using an Lan Li edge 1300 watt platinum power supple with special PSU ports and cables for the 5090 and like cards I am running and so far knock on wood it's been a beast. And I loved working with the edge power supply as well. bonus the new editions...
