Report: Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Support Ray Tracing for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs at Launch After All

Beta code should not be used as a comparison tool for public consumption. The only reason AMD should have issued it was specifically so reviewers could say hey AMD ray tracing works well in this game not look how bad Nvidia runs this game comparatively.

Report: Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Support Ray Tracing for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs at Launch After All

This is a case where there wasn't anything to optimize and CDPR already had too much on their plate. That said, the system requirements look like DLSS is pretty much required for playable RT so they are likely working with AMD to get Super Resolution working. There is no excuse for Godfall...

Godfall Requires 12 GB of VRAM at 4K with Ultra HD Textures, Which Could Pose a Problem for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Series

I kind of hope it does 100% require 12GB of VRAM at max settings to see how NVIDIA responds to people after they promised that 10GB would be fine. That said I am more on the side that it allocated 12GB of VRAM and requires much less.

3DMark Preps for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Launch with New DirectX Ray-Tracing Test

AMD Radeon RX 6800 Beats NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider (4K, WQHD), Even with Ray Tracing Enabled (DLSS Off)

My everyday overclocked 3090 FE (I really don't care enough to run it multiple times) with everything I normally have open in the background got 4K - 65 1440p - 110

AMD Releases Radeon RX 6000 Series Benchmark Comparison Tool

Interesting how the 3090 was 69fps in their previous material at 4K badass (same as my own 3090 stock) but now it's 66fps.

NVIDIA Releases Game Ready Driver for GeForce RTX 3070 and Watch Dogs: Legion

From the hotfix driver to this I gained no average FPS in the benchmark Also I think DLSS is either implemented wrong or something else as even Quality mode has 'temporal aliasing' which is very noticeable at Performance mode

AMD Announces Radeon RX 6900 XT ($999), Radeon RX 6800 XT ($649), and Radeon RX 6800 ($579)

According to Gamer's Nexus, most if not all current DXR implementations aren't compatible.

And the 6900XT is overclocked and has SAM enabled (which requires a 5000 series Ryzen CPU)

Watch Dogs: Legion Will Run at 4K/30 FPS with Ray Tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

IMO besides reflections, the only 'major' visual difference with ray-tracing is global illumination. Shadows and AO can be quite impressive but normally are faked well enough. What are you referring to specifically?

Watch Dogs: Legion Will Run at 4K/30 FPS with Ray Tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

I can guarantee you the ray-tracing will not be 4K quality on consoles so it won't be a 1 to 1 comparison. Digital Foundry said that for the PS5 Gran Turismo 7 preview videos that the reflections were at most 1080p and may actually be lower/checkerboarded - https://youtu.be/Azl772uylh4?t=241...

    Blizzard Preparing for StarCraft III?

SC2 was Mike's baby. As soon as they dropped HOTS and SC2 esports is when I knew Mike had been overruled/outed. Mike would regularly fly to South Korea to watch professional StarCraft games in the crowd as a fan. To say it was his baby is an understatement. Starcraft esports was Mike's...

    Blizzard Preparing for StarCraft III?

Mike Morhaime was the only reason SC2 got the support it did. Activision knows there is no money in RTS games. I expect a StarCraft FPS. I also expect Dreamhaven to be releasing a spiritual successor to StarCraft.

GeForce RTX 3080 (20 GB) to Cost $999? NVIDIA Reportedly Flooding GPU Market in November to Wash Away AMD

It only makes sense for AIBs to hold back 'flooding' the channel if you can make a lot more profit selling 20GB cards. This really isn't a conspiracy. I think everyone is waiting on the 16Gb GDDR6X memory chips from Micron.

Intel/AMD Pricing War Imminent? 11th Gen Core i7 (8C/16T) to Undercut Ryzen 7 5800X by $100, Rumors Claim

I'm just talking about if someone is on AM4, it doesn't make any sense to move to Intel just for 11th gen even if it is 'faster' (and vice versa) For new computer buyers or people who don't plan on upgrading for years, it really doesn't matter - you would want to get whatever is cheaper and...

Razer Partners with ASRock for New Branded Motherboards

It's not really even a torture test - that's just power limits removed. They did one using an overclocked 10900K as well which is more of a torture test. The testing group is all the cheapest Z490 motherboards they could acquire and only Asrock boards had real issues. Yes the Gigabyte board...
