@igor_kavinski Agreed. Another reason is it is effectively a big expense reduction for the company. Because if it goes like with Intel, and I surmise it will, the long tenured, higher compensated employees AKA the gray beards, will be a very significant portion of those willing to take the...

Thanks for the reviews of the new MSI boards, Rick. just getting around to reading them.

RIP

Built in bench is tougher than most the game. But confirms it is GPU bound.

Working great in E-Day. Even able to turn on FG. FG makes things like buildings in the background smear if I turn fast with the controller, but no issues hitting head shots with the torque bow or longshot. FSR 4 Quality at 1440 gave me a 15-20fps increase over native with the same settings...

About damned time. I should note I have been playing E-Day via game pass on my 5600X3D+RX 6800 system because it is the only one with windows on it already. Plays great 1440 HUB optimized settings, FSR AA, but a few recommended are reduced further to keep it smooth. Could probably turn those...

7800X3D is AM5; you know this. There are however, 2 5800X3D, a 5600X3D, Ryzen 5500, and 12600kf desktops all on DDR4 in the house. Another 128GB of various DDR4 kits as well. DDR5 is the one where I don't have back ups. Consequently I have not been using that build as much. And I have the...

Enjoyed the review. Personally, I am happy on the 7800X3D. Power, heat, and noise are priorities, so always use frame caps with 7900XTX and 9070XT. It makes for smooth frame times and pacing. If someone upgrading to Z6 lets their 9X3D go cheap enough, I'll upgrade. Otherwise I am sitting out...

On a related note: Something I found out the other day from John of digital foundry, is that XeSS is not supported on any game from the MS store. I like my ARC cards even if they are a box of chocolates. And sometimes it looks better than FSR on AMD and GTX cards. I was mildly surprised to learn...

Yeah, Steam is a terrible indicator of how well it's doing. Many play on game pass or got the Microsoft store version. Playstation as you noted, further limits the usefulness of Steam's numbers.

Newegg has it for $230 in white. That's a solid deal.

This is the way. Full disclosure though; I pay for the YT family plan now. We use YT and YT music everywhere e.g. in the cars, out in the yard, BBQ on the breeze way, PCs. I pay about $100 a month for Amazon, YT, and 1Gb internet. That is less than my old cable package with internet early in...

Remember, this was a selective process. Only certain markets/regions were eligible. Steam account in good standing. Made a purchase before 4/27/26. Only 1 registration per household. The drawing was one time and random. The rest went on the waiting list. And there are many more that want one...

Newegg has a $49 promo code making it $280.

AAAANNND I'm already bored with the combat. :ROFLMAO: Maybe I will just watch a Youtube vid with all of the cutscenes to get the story.

Imagine how much time you'd spend with your face nearly pressed against surfaces when climbing in AC games. Good luck countering attacks when fighting mobs. Knowing which is the best direction to dodge roll, etc.

Inspired me to play the OG again. Maybe I'll finish it this time. Looks and plays great maxed out. Don't feel any need to get milked by double dipping.

I see Ubislop managed to ruin a classic via greed. Not calling OG BF the best game in the series, IMO Odyssey is better. It is already back to mostly positive which is a little suspicious. Orgainc stans brigade to the rescue? or shenanigans with account and review farming...

Skeleton crews using AI slop?

It's been more than half a lifetime ago. I think Pentium 60? iGPU on the board for video? Packard Bell POS. Windows 3.11 for workgroups? I was not rolling my own yet.
