ASUS Prepares to NUC the Steam Machine with a Mini PC Featuring a Panther Lake Processor and an Arc B390 GPU

Yeah because the newer ones are Tandem OLED and supposedly much more durable.

ASUS Prepares to NUC the Steam Machine with a Mini PC Featuring a Panther Lake Processor and an Arc B390 GPU

If previous high end chips are any indication, this won't be a very high volume part. I think only Acer may have something below $1500 with this SoC.

New Benchmarks for AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Spotted as Hopes Increase for a Debut at CES

It's REAL! https://www.sytronix.co.uk/workstations Looks like AMD may limit these to system integrators or OEMs for AI workstations :( At least two MT tests where the increased cache may come in handy (9950X3D2 has DDR5-4800 vs. 6000) ...

This is how badly Intel screwed itself over

Intel has APX, AVX10.2, rumored code injection in game executables through their APO app and much higher RAM speeds than AMD. If they STILL falter with Nova Lake, gamers everywhere will be like

This is how badly Intel screwed itself over

I spent quality time with a Ryzen 5825U HP Aero laptop. Tortured its iGPU with 4K benchmarks. The fan noise was minimal and not once did the laptop lock up. And it was so light that it felt like a cheap plastic toy laptop. The person I bought it for has yet to complain. I was very impressed, at...

    Cinebench 2026

Good score though my MT scaling of 11x (out of 14 cores) is fantastic compared to your 17.75x :P I'm joking! I'm joking! That Centaur CPU is the boss of MT scaling. 7.25x out of 8 cores!

Never mind. Det0x confirmed that it's some bug. Disabling cores allows the single score to inflate.

    Cinebench 2026

Wasn't doing that. I said "halo" chips. 9950X3D isn't easy to cool either. And it's the mobo's fault, not the chip that I have to worry about the possibility of burning up. Thanks to ASROCK. The comment "Custom cooled 285K is able to barely get over 11000 too." was meant to convey that Intel...

MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Lightning Z Is Already Brewing Up a Storm Thanks to Its Two 12V-2×6 Connectors and 2,500 Watt XOC BIOS

Get some actual use out of that iGPU!

Hard to believe how well this works. Might be useful for those with ARC iGPUs and AMD/Nvidia dGPUs if those combinations work just as well.

Which CPU design do you think will come from the AMD Indian Cores team?

What's funny is that the israelis were the ones who saved Intel with the power optimized Dothan core and later helped kill Pentium 4 with the Core series. Then they kept on bloating their core designs instead of going back to the basics.

https://forums.thefpsreview.com/threads/this-is-how-badly-intel-screwed-itself-over.19113/post-100809 The only way to get a score that high with an existing CPU is to use LN2 but that poster NEVER uses LN2 so it's an unreleased CPU, most likely Zen 6.

This is how badly Intel screwed itself over

https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/cinebench-2026.2633409/post-41553838 My calculations seem to suggest: Modest 13% IPC increase with at least 20% higher frequency boost. At least 6.5 GHz frequency AND/OR a much more efficient SMT implementation. This can only be Zen 6. Intel can kiss its...
