Ubisoft Implodes After Axing Multiple Projects, Although a Few Are Expected to Survive, for Now

I hope Ghost Recon is not among the axed titles. That's about the only game from them I was still interested to see.

    Yeah, it's copies, not revenue. The Witcher 3 - 60 million Cyberpunk 2077 - 35 million Witcher 2 - 15 million Witcher - 10 million C2077: Phantom Liberty - 10 million

Unreal Engine 5.6 Makes Its Debut with New Footage from the Witcher IV Tech Demo, Showcasing Improved 60 FPS Ray Traced Global Illumination

Teams typically only get slashed after their product is out and failed, firewalk studios didn't loose a single person until after concord was out. They enjoyed the full backing of Sony. Which is mostly the word of disgruntled and lazy workers amplified by hacks like Jason Schreier. Everything...

Unreal Engine 5.6 Makes Its Debut with New Footage from the Witcher IV Tech Demo, Showcasing Improved 60 FPS Ray Traced Global Illumination

That's a really poor take. The computational cost of UE features is not corporate greed, unless you consider using UE as part of corporate greed. The issue is complacency, And no, it's not corporate heads who are complacent about optimisation, because they know F all about it. It is the devs...

Exekiller Is an Upcoming First-Person RPG with Western Vibes Set on an Alternate Earth Where You’re a Bounty Hunter in a Post-Apocalyptic World

This is what I'd expect AI to generate if asked to make a mashup of CP2077 and Fallout4. Also barely looks one A. Can't say it got my interest peeked.

NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER Series Might Debut at CES 26, Launch Between March-May, and Has Been Spotted on the Seasonic Website

More cards to make less of? Unlikely, I'm so cynical at this point I wouldn't be surprised if nvidia's big update would be pulling a crucial, I mean micron.

NVIDIA Announces DLSS 4.5 with 2nd Gen Transformer Model and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation with up to 6X More Frames for 240 Hz/360 Hz Displays

Up to 6X More Fake! I'd settle for just 1X real frame but nvidia hasn't or barely improved raw rasterizer performance in the last two gens. Not even a 5090 can run CP2077, a 5 year old game at playable frame rates.

Michał Kiciński, Co-Founder of GOG and CD PROJEKT RED, Acquires DRM-Free Digital Distribution Platform For $25 Million and Promises It Will Remai...

DRM is not the issue, people (and that includes me) only care about convenience. Therefore DRM only becomes a problem when it inconveniences people. Steam never did anything with the intent to inconvenience their users. If someone could make the streaming equivalent of Steam they would break...

PC Hardware Manufacturers Answer as to Whether or Not Its Better to Use Bundled GPU Adapters or Native PSU 12V-2×6 Cables

The logical answer would be less connections means less points of failure. But there is more to it. Due to the fragility and lack of safety margin in this stupid connector I think it is better to use the adapter that came with the GPU, because it will probably be made by the same supplier as the...

From Bad to Worse, NVIDIA Reportedly Will Cut RTX 50 Series Production by 30–40% in 2026 and Might Stop Providing VRAM to Its Partners

I welcomed the death of physical media, do you realize how much I hated disc based DRMs? That every freaking time you wanted to play a game you had to find its disc insert it into your drive and wait 60-120 seconds while starforce or securom tried to break your CD-ROM drive and if it fails to...

Vince Zampella, Call of Duty Co-Creator, Co-Founder of Respawn and Infinity Ward, EA Exec, Was Tragically Killed in a Car Accident

TBF when hitting concrete with this kind of speed doesn't matter what type of car it is. The difference is that it takes a mile for a regular car to reach 100mph while it takes 4 seconds in these. It's better to die when you have nothing going on than when you're enjoying life. It's like waking...

Vince Zampella, Call of Duty Co-Creator, Co-Founder of Respawn and Infinity Ward, EA Exec, Was Tragically Killed in a Car Accident

Judging by the video he just misjudged the speed, went into the corner too fast slid off. He might have hit a rock, but if he did that already happened off the road. What he clearly hit however is the end of the concrete barrier which torn the car in two.

From Bad to Worse, NVIDIA Reportedly Will Cut RTX 50 Series Production by 30–40% in 2026 and Might Stop Providing VRAM to Its Partners

If you're not maxing out graphics then it is cheating and it doesn't count. I didn't mean it as an insult, but as the sad state of gaming on PC thanks to nvidia.

From Bad to Worse, NVIDIA Reportedly Will Cut RTX 50 Series Production by 30–40% in 2026 and Might Stop Providing VRAM to Its Partners

There are no 4K gamers anymore. What was the last time you played a new game at native 4K? nvidia has forgot the thousand year rule they want to stop providing circuses for the people, it can only backfire, but I guess they think they'll use their ai surveillance partners to squash any unrest.

DRAM Prices Skyrocket to a Record 171% YoY Level as Shortages Continue amid Increased Demand from AI-Driven Applications

Of course they'd say that. "Don't wait for prices to go back down, buy while they're sky high!" It's almost as if they had a vested interest. I have two middle fingers to give them, nothing else. I'll sit here popcorn at the ready waiting for their precious bubble bath to spring a leak. And...

Buyout Deal Worth $82 Billion Could See Netflix Gain Access to Warner Bros. Game IPs Such as Batman, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat

I only saw two of them as well: Blues Brothers like 25 years ago and hated it, and 2001, which i liked until the ending. Nah, 99% of European movie consumption is from hollywood, there are a few homebrew cult classics, but they are never even mentioned on the same page as hollywood productions.
