Industry-Wide Price Hikes Expected in 2026 as Manufacturers Begin Implementing Price “Adjustments” Due to Memory and Storage Supply Shortages

...all it takes is to turn off DLSS in say CP2077 for a few seconds to see how it should look. Granted it will be unplayable, but I firmly believe the same or very close visuals could've been achieved with true optimization and using traditional lighting methods instead of computation expensive...

Industry-Wide Price Hikes Expected in 2026 as Manufacturers Begin Implementing Price “Adjustments” Due to Memory and Storage Supply Shortages

Everything was fine, prices were relatively stable until RTX came and nvidia suddenly started doubling prices every generation while at the same time showing the lowest raw performance increases between generations. But they "invented" DLSS to mask the lack of difference. DLSS and framegen are...

Cyberpunk 2077 Celebrates Five Years Since Launch with a Special Anniversary Trailer, Trading Card Game, and More

The bad thing is that part 2 is at least 5 more away. And I'm already 50% excited for and 50% dreading it due to moving development to the US.

Buyout Deal Worth $82 Billion Could See Netflix Gain Access to Warner Bros. Game IPs Such as Batman, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat

Unfortunately their managerial style is "if it ain't broke, make it for all audiences" and that will definitely break it.

Buyout Deal Worth $82 Billion Could See Netflix Gain Access to Warner Bros. Game IPs Such as Batman, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat

I don't think WB or Netflix understands why Hogwarts Legacy was so successful. They view it as an anomaly, not as a blueprint to follow. I doubt even its inevitable sequel will follow the blueprint. It'll loose touch with what made the first game a success.

Industry-Wide Price Hikes Expected in 2026 as Manufacturers Begin Implementing Price “Adjustments” Due to Memory and Storage Supply Shortages

Meh, I'm not as concerned, RAM is not a necessity. I can go longer without buying RAM than they can go without selling.

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

Phantom Liberty is literally the newest game I finished, almost 2 years ago. Nothing really excited me since then. I've started 2 or 3 new playthroughs of CP2077 since then, but I always get sidetracked and just go exploring random locations, trying to get to places you're not meant to reach...

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

I think the aim is to use the same tech for all three games, basically making the fifth and sixth games glorified expansion packs rather than brand new games. Like Phantom Liberty with a longer campaign. And I'm fine with that.

CDPR Hopes to Finish the Upcoming the Witcher Trilogy Within Six Years, but Don’t Plan on Seeing Anything at This Year’s The Game Awards

Man, I'm ready to play anything at this point. I can't believe the most exciting upcoming game is a 4th in a series where I didn't really like any of the previous three. The way I look at it there was no great AAA game since Cyberpunk 2077, and that is going to be five years old within weeks...

The BEAUTIFUL GPU connector that keeps on giving

Yeah, if there is not enough power the system would just shut down due to overload protection or become unstable due to voltage drop. The connector melting is the fault of the connector design. It might be fine in theory, but as practice clearly shows it doesn't have enough tolerance when...

The BEAUTIFUL GPU connector that keeps on giving

It literally says "recommended" not "required", but even if it was the latter it shouldn't mean fireworks are in order.

After Nearly $1 Billion in Crowdfunding and 13 Years in Development, Star Citizen Is Nearly, Nah, Who’re We Kidding, It’s Never Going to Happen

I think you are mistaken, Cloud Imperium Games is not new, it has been the company they operated under ever since the original kickstarter campaign in 2012.

What do you mean took over? He is the founder and CEO of CIG.. RSI is just a made up company in game not real.

After Nearly $1 Billion in Crowdfunding and 13 Years in Development, Star Citizen Is Nearly, Nah, Who’re We Kidding, It’s Never Going to Happen

Me too in 2012, regretfully I even upgraded my pledge in 2013 to get a citizens card and a shirt, I wanted Squadron 42 so much. But now I'm not even holding out false hope that it will ever release, I've been considering it vaporware since at least 2018. There was Chris Roberts attached to it...

Windows 11 Continues to Get More Bugs Following the Decomissioning of Windows 10

What's even more ridiculous is that it takes like 30 seconds for it to order the files by date. We were effing taught quicksort in middle school. But not even basic selection sort should take this long on a modern system.

ASUS Goes Retro with Its ProArt PA401, PA602 Wood Edition PC Cases Available in Select Beige or Retro Brown Colors

I don't think anyone liked the beige, it was just the only option, until the 2000s. Unless you spray painted your pc, like I did. I used to be a big Arrows fan, so I painted my PC in their Orange livery: (And my phone, and probably would've done my car too if I had a car back then)

Horizon Steel Frontiers Is a Cross-Platform MMORPG Project Being Developed by NCSoft and Guerrilla for PC, iOS, and Android

So by your definition if I say the clutch is slipping in my car, then later say it has drivetrain issues, that's backpedaling?! No, it is using a broader definition of the issue. Why would I even want to backpedal? I 100% stand by the fact that there is radical feminist messaging in HFW, which...
