The main thing about positive pressure, as far as I know, is the dust problem. Positive pressure tends to keep dust and crap out of the cracks and ports. To an extent.

I just use the correct software to convert the file types and I don't even have to do it all that often. Sounds like if you're doing this frequently, then perhaps getting local software installed that can handle the different formats for whatever media file you are using.
