Productivity Maximized! HKC Launches 43.8″ Monitor with 5760×2160 Resolution and 24:9 Aspect Ratio

This monitor is for me. This is what I want. Will it come to the US? And what timeframe, good question, and how much? I have been wanting a good Mini-LED display, I do not want OLED, since my PC is always on a static work display, though I do play games here also, but primariliy it's a...

Probably Bound to Happen: Increased Power Draw for DLSS 5 Reportedly Claims Its First Victim After a User Finds an RTX 5090 with a Melted Power Ada...

Now that they've been out a while, time seems to be a factor in how long they will last before failure as well. /shrug I think the proof is in the pudding on this connector.

AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D vs Ryzen 7 7800X3D Gaming Performance: Worth the Upgrade?

Realized I never answered this, sorry for the delay. It depends on the game, but run-throughs are typically 5-10 minutes, but it does depend on the game; some that are quicker are in places that test the CPU the hardest, like city areas in games with lots of NPCs, while others can be longer to...

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D vs Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Review

Could be yields that couldn't cut it at the 7800X3D spec. But they must have a lot of them to release it as a new SKU. I dunno. Its a decent config for a budget gamer, or wanting a small, not power hungry, cool running build.

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D vs Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Review

Introduction Wouldn’t it be interesting to see what kind of an upgrade the Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be over a Ryzen 7 7700X3D in 2026? We thought so too. With the recent launch of the Ryzen 7 7700X3D in July of 2026, we wanted to know what the gaming performance difference is between this Zen […]...

ASRock has a PSU thing that's supposed to shut down (built-in NTC thermal protection sensor), but didn't protect, Buildzoid has a video about it, that's how I found it here's another article...

A Real Talk Discussion about DLSS 5: 3 Good Things, 5 Bad Things, and 4 Questions For You

Interestingly, NVIDIA recommends Path Tracing as an input into DLSS 5 for the best image quality. So I don't think DLSS 5 is meant to replace Path Tracing or better lighting technologies in games. Rather, as a companion to them. With better inputs, you get better DLSS 5 quality outputs...

A Real Talk Discussion about DLSS 5: 3 Good Things, 5 Bad Things, and 4 Questions For You

So we have gone from faking lighting with baked in lighting, to wanting real Ray Tracing, to wanting real Path Tracing, to wanting non-rasterized games, to now coming back to not wanting any of that at all but faking the lighting again? Full circle? How strange to me.

A Real Talk Discussion about DLSS 5: 3 Good Things, 5 Bad Things, and 4 Questions For You

I wouldn't say that, and do not imply that, it is not the same thing. Path Tracing would replace the way games are lit, and for the better. If you make the game Path Traced natively (read: Not Rasterized), then you don't need any baked-in lighting at all, the entire game would naturally have...

It burns there as well. In HUB's instance, the melting was at the power supply side. They had to replace the PSU in their case, not the video card, but had they left it running in that scenerio, it would have eventually burned the GPU side as well, but they caught it in time. Because...

Soldering would fix the resistance issue, right, but what about the voltage imbalance between pins, it wouldn't fix that would it? I would think some kind of hardware would be needed on the PCB to regulate the voltage per-pin, IIRC NVIDIA removed this hardware function.

A Real Talk Discussion about DLSS 5: 3 Good Things, 5 Bad Things, and 4 Questions For You

I disagree that DLSS 5 is "free" in terms of dev time. In fact, developers have the ability to apply DLSS 5 per-object, applying more or less DLSS 5 to foreground objects, background objects, NPCs, and basically well anything in the frame...

Thank you for the very long feedback! I enjoy your opinions, and everyone chiming in on this topic. I wanted to address specifically this one, just to clarify my opinion a bit more, which I didn't flesh out with enough detail in the video. Specifically, in regards to the better rendering of...

A Real Talk Discussion about DLSS 5: 3 Good Things, 5 Bad Things, and 4 Questions For You

I did have an outline of notes I wanted to discuss, but I wasn't reading a script or word for word, it was truly a free form of thoughts, I just had an outline of the numbered points so I could remember :p But feedback noted, I could make the transistions between topics smoother.
