  1. Stormgate: Ex-Warcraft and StarCraft Devs Launch New Demo for Unreal Engine 5 RTS with NVIDIA DLSS 3

Wish someone would do a proper follow up of Total Annihilation / Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
  2. AMD Launches Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Game Bundle: Protect Pandora and Become Na’vi with Purchases of Select Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs and Radeo...

Reading the terms and conditions, it says purchases must be made between Nov 7th, and December 30th of 2023.
  3. Samsung Unveils World’s First Dual UHD Gaming Monitor, Odyssey Neo G9 57-Inch with Quantum Mini LED Lighting

Very interested. Nothing stands out as a tradeoff at first glance. Going to wait for reviews first of course. Is this something that you guys would review?
  4. Seagate Launches IronWolf Pro 22 TB CMR HDD for $599.99

Obligatory "that's a lot of data to lose on one drive...blah blah blah"
  5. Ridley Scott to Direct Paul Mescal as Adult Lucius in Gladiator Sequel for Paramount Pictures

Ugh, why on earth...why???? Some movies, like this one, are really better off without having a sequel. See Donnie Darko -> S. Darko. S. Darko pretty much ruined Donnie Darko. Is Hollywood really this creatively bankrupt that they need to make sequels that no one asked for, to movies that...
  6. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Gets Streaming Debut Date

    Please don't suck.....Please don't suck......Please don't suck.....
  7. Airless Tires Are Coming to Passenger Vehicles as Early as 2024

All of the sizzle pieces I've seen on these are always on dry pavement. I'd be curious to see how they perform going through puddles of a couple inches of standing water after a heavy rain. Considering how a car pulls and slows with traditional tires, I'm imagining this would be substantially...
  8. New Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Video Shows Off the Snowdrop Engine

Hopefully this version of ANTHEM is better than the one that came out in 2019.
  9. GIGABYTE Reveals 48-Inch AORUS 4K HDMI 2.1 OLED Monitor

That 32" 144hz monitor could be promising. Been looking for a 32", 120hz+ monitor for a while. If it's VESA Display HDR1000 certified, That would likely denote VA or IPS panel?
  10. Epic Store Holiday Game Giveaway

Thanks! I picked up Crysis Remastered for $7.99 after the coupon :)
  11. “Worst Streaming Service”: Christopher Nolan Condemns HBO Max for Contributing to the Death of Cinema

Sounds like someone ****ed up their contract talks. They really didn't see streaming coming pandemic or not? Don't kid yourselves, Nolan, Scorsese et al. don't give a rats *** about the theaters. They just want to make sure that if there's 4 butts on a couch, they get revenue from...
  12. ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX: 32-Inch 4K IPS Panel with 144 Hz Refresh Rate, G-SYNC, DisplayHDR 1400, and More

Lets hope. At that price the Apple Pro Display XDR suddenly doesn't look to bad (except for being stuck at 60hz).
  13. ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX: 32-Inch 4K IPS Panel with 144 Hz Refresh Rate, G-SYNC, DisplayHDR 1400, and More

Well that assumption by manufacturers would be the problem. I prefer to keep scaling at 100%, to maximize the amount of workspace I have. Additionally as I wall mount my monitor, there's only so far it can be set back from where I'm sitting.
  14. ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX: 32-Inch 4K IPS Panel with 144 Hz Refresh Rate, G-SYNC, DisplayHDR 1400, and More

Finally, something worth upgrading from my Samsung U32D970Q. Lets hope that price is not accurate. 40 and up is a bit too big as I'd have to move my head, rather than just my eyes. At 32", this is in my Goldilocks range.
  15. MGM Releases Action-Packed No Time to Die Trailer

Wow, looks awesome. Sounds like the villain is finally a decent one, and not this whiny personal revenge on M or MI6 crap.
  16. Herman Miller Announces $1,445 Aeron Gaming Chair

Am I missing someothing? This doesn't really look any different than the Aeron V2 chair I already have. Reading the article is all just marketing which doesn't help. It comes in all black.....whoop de do.
  17. Crysis Remastered Releasing on September 18 with 8K Textures

The thing that pisses me off about the EGS exclusive bit is that the original 4 Crysis games were on EA origin. If I recall correctly, while crysis 1 was standalone (later on steam) by the time Crysis 2 and 3 came out, Origin was required. So every time a developer switches publishers I have...
  18. Xiaomi Unveils $7,200 Transparent OLED TV

I don't understand how this thing makes black? Is it using subtractive color mixing? Don't OLED panels make black by simply turning off those pixels? If this panel's "off" is transparent, I just don't understand how they're getting black.
  19. NVIDIA RTX 3000 GPU Benchmarked, Blows Away RTX 2080 Ti and TITAN RTX

There's just no way that I'd ever come close to spending $1500 for a video card. I get that they're enormously complex parts, but even these RTX 2xxx series prices are just absurd, especially considering that 15 years ago, the top video card was $500. Besides pharmaceuticals, I cannot think of...
