“Female-Centric” Star Wars Series Coming to Disney Plus from Maker of Netflix’s Russian Doll

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor aren’t the only new live-action Star Wars series headed to Disney Plus. Variety has learned that a third show is in the works from Leslye Headland, the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer of Netflix’s Russian Doll – a critically acclaimed series about a game developer who dies repeatedly in a time loop.



“Headland is said to be attached to write and serve as showrunner on the series, with the show currently staffing,” Variety reported. “Headland also directed multiple episodes of ‘Russian Doll.’ The show was nominated for 13 Emmy Awards for its first season, ultimately winning three.”

Afraid this will turn into a documentary on social injustice rather than entertainment, but we'll see.
 
Kennedy is full on board with this... which should sound like an air-raid siren to SW fans (if there are any left). Not against female characters, I just haven't seen one that I liked in SW.... We'll see how Mando deals with real life Ashoka.
 
I thought the other 2 were cancelled due to not going in the right direction.
According to me its the mandalorian and this thing.
