I just saw an article today about 0patch (0patch.com), apparently a 3rd party company that does security/vulnerability patching for older windows, even back to win 7. They offer free patching of zero day exploits right now, after MS sunsets win 10 in Oct it will cost $28 a year.

This is the article that got my attention = https://betanews.com/2025/03/26/0pa...-in-windows-that-microsoft-has-not-addressed/

This intrigues me as I hate win 11, and I intend on riding win 10 into the ground..... plus 2 elders who would both need new computers to run 11 TPM crap properly. We all run ESET antivirus products. I think $28 a year for a couple/three years is cheaper than buying new computers for everyone, THEN getting them used to 11, THEN having to buy new MS office products and so on and on and on

Thoughts?

edit - oh also this = https://www.pcmag.com/explainers/0p...orks-and-what-it-means-for-the-end-of-windows

MS will offer ESU for $30 for the first year, but pricing can and likely will go up every year after, up to 3 years
