It's time to pour one out for the Xbox One, as Matt Booty, Head of Xbox Game Studios, has confirmed to Axios that Microsoft is no longer developing any games for its last-generation console, which originally released in North America and other markets on November 22, 2013. "We've moved on to Gen 9," Booty said, referring to his company's current lineup of hardware, which includes the much more powerful Xbox Series X with 8-core Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2 GPU. The Xbox One was mocked by many for looking like a VCR and trying to be an all-in-one device upon release, but it did end up seeing some acclaimed exclusives, including Forza Motorsport 5 and Halo 5: Guardians. Xbox One X, a more powerful version of the console that included support for 4K, was released in November 2017.
