Igor's Lab has shared a set of photos that imply NVIDIA has already updated the GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition with the newly designed 12VHPWR connector, which includes shorter sense pins, reducing high-power modes unless the user cares enough to plug their cables all the way in to avoid a melting GPU. MSI's GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X TRIO also seems to have been updated with connectors that feature shorter sense pins.

So if you had a previos edition could you trade it for the newer edition with the better power connector?
