Skull and Bones is not the only pirate game that Ubisoft is working on, as sources with Kotaku are claiming that a remake of 2013's Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, one of the most celebrated Assassin's Creed games, is also in development. The new game is supposedly being led by the team at Ubisoft Singapore, whose recent credits include Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Skull and Bones, the closed beta for which is scheduled to take place from August 25 to August 28. PureArts released a highly detailed statue of protagonist Edward Kenway last year.

But why? It was already a 1080p gen 4 game.... what does an upscale to 4k and some uprezzed textures really going to offer?
