Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart DirectStorage Bug Leads to Worse Performance on NVIDIA GeForce GPUs

ComputerBase has tested Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and discovered that the new port from Nixxes Software is affected by a DirectStorage bug that could lead to reduced performance on NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. The bug, which doesn't seem to affect AMD Radeon GPUs in the same way, can seemingly be addressed just by deleting two files that can be found in the game's main directory: "dstorage.dll" and "dstoragecore.dll." Doing so can improve Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's FPS "significantly" in GeForce RTX 4080 and similar GPUs, according to the site.
