WinFuture has learned that Logitech is planning a new professional gaming mouse called the G Pro X Superlight 2. This mouse does not appear to be in the same league as the company's fan-favorite G502 Series, but it does offer a Hero 2 sensor (up to 32K DPI), two customizable side buttons, Lightforce hybrid switches, and up to 95 hours of battery life, according to leaked promotional images. The original Pro X normally costs $159.99.

I don't understand the allure of these super light mice. I want weight to give me precision.

It's to coincide with the 8 square foot mousepads. You're not gaming to these new kids unless you're flinging your arm around like the rest of you is caught in a meat grinder and your flailing for help/escape.

Yeah that's part of being a real gamer:
We were stuck on 60Hz forever, and now they're all headed towards 600Hz. Is there a race to 1,000Hz among the display manufacturers? Well I'll tell you what. When I'm playing a source port of Doom and my framerate is 1,000+ fps and I'm not running VSYNC, I'll appreciate that huge VRR window. So uuuhhh that's totally a legit reason to have such a monitor. Just like 540Hz VRR will come in handy when you're playing UT3 at 300-400+ fps with no VSYNC.

Also guys the big Hz is for the eSports. You know, the most important part of the video game industry? eSports people gotta do eSports things. None of y'allz are professionals so you don't even know. When you're fraggin' hard cuz you got frag harder disco lights, and you need to frag even harder, you gotta pump up them screen hertz. Without the big hertz, you get the big hurtz. To be a champion you need a 20" screen, TN panel, 1080p res, jack the in-game brightness or gamma all the way up, and only use headphones. Don't forget to keep your wrist still and move your entire arm to use your mouse. The bigger the mouse pad the better. Remember, the mousing surface needs to be bigger than your monitor, or you're gaming wrong. And you absolutely gotta have tenkeyless for weight savings. Your reflexes speed up when you go tenkeyless. But yeah, when you got so many frames coming at you each second that even Sonic the Hedgehog can't see the individual frames, you are gonna need that high refresh rate.

High refresh rate monitors are the reason we build computers. They are what stopped the PC industry from collapsing. You guys who run this website, you don't even need to test any other kind of hardware anymore. Just test high refresh rate monitors.

Just as how cereal is only part of a complete breakfast (or so the commercials say), a big mouse pad is only part of being a modern gamer.

I don't understand the allure of these super light mice.
eSports people use light mice. See, these people are professionals, so they know what's up. In racing, it helps to remove excess weight from your car. Apply those same principles to mice. Lighter mice = faster performance. Want more frags? Lighten up your mouse. Why do you think [H]Kyle's handle is "FrgMstr"? It's because he uses a light mouse. Do you think women want to be with men who have heavy mice? Nope, they like those with sleek, toned, lightweight mice. When your boss walks over to your cubicle and sees your very light mouse, you'll have a promotion, a raise, and an office by the end of the day. Got kids? Studies show that 90% of parents who use light mice have kids who graduate at the top of their class and go on to be extremely successful in life. When the cops pull you over, search your sh1t, and find the super light mouse in your bag, well let's just say you won't be getting any tickets that day. Light mice have even been shown to reduce the size of cancerous tumors. So maybe put away your prejudices and false information about lightweight mice, because light mice are what winners use. Logitech is just going where the money is.
