The Elder Scrolls VI Has Officially Entered Development

The Elder Scrolls VI has left the pre-production phase and is now officially in development. Pete Hines, SVP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, shared the news last week at Gamescom 2023, telling Spanish gaming site Vandal in a new interview that the game is currently in "early development," and while he had no real details to share about the sixth installment at this time, including its rumored location of Hammerfell, he did mention that Bethesda isn't planning on sharing any news about the game until "years later." Skyrim, the last mainline installment of the series, was released in November 2011.
