The 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900KF processor has been tested on Geekbench 6, revealing a single-core score of 3,347 and multi-core score of 23,051 on an ASRock Z790 Taichi motherboard with 32 GB of DDR5-7000 memory. According to some of the comparisons that have been shared on the web so far, these scores would make Intel's new "Raptor Lake-S Refresh" 6 GHz flagship with 24 cores and 32 threads up to 20% faster than AMD's current desktop leader, the Ryzen 7950X (16C/32T, 5.7 GHz), and up to 15% faster than the Core i9-13900K (24C/32T, 5.8 GHz). Intel is expected to unveil the Core i9-14900KF and other Raptor Lake-S Refresh SKUs during its Innovation event next week in San Jose.

I mean... if drop a turd down a well, eventually it too will hit terminal velocity.

I am interested to see some real world testing and comparisons from the fpsreview team. I would expect 24 cores at 6ghz or close to it, on a comparative technology, to beat 16 cores... I mean that only makes sense. But when you through the whole big little design into the mix things get muddy.
