ASUS has published a new blog post discussing DIMM Flex, a new DDR5 memory overclocking technology that the company designed to dynamically adjust memory controller behavior based on memory temperature, optimizing DDR5 memory performance while ensuring stability. According to numbers shared by ASUS, the feature can deliver some substantial performance gains in some popular games, including Metro Exodus, which gains nearly 22 FPS versus the typical XMP options when DIMM Flex is employed. ASUS' DIMM Flex technology can be found in its latest ROG or ROG Strix Z790 motherboards, including the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula and ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero, a black motherboard that features "bold gamer style."
