ASUS has announced that its ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard was used by overclockers to attain four new world overclocking records, including those for CPU frequency and DDR5 frequency. According to HWBOT's rankings, elmor succeeded in taking the Core i9-14900KF, one of Intel's latest flagship desktop processors, to 9,043.92 MHz today with the help of ASUS' hardware, edging out safedisk's effort that saw a Core i9-13900K reach ~8.7 GHz, while lupin_no_musume also set a new world record, bringing DDR5 memory to 5,806.5 MHz. The ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore is available now for $649.99 at retailers that include Newegg, while the 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900KF is priced at $564—$25 less than the top SKU with UHD Graphics 770 iGPU.
