Noctua has announced that its new NH-U14S TR5-SP6 and NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U CPU coolers for AMD's TR5 (sTR5/sTRX5/sWRX9) and SP6 sockets for Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series and Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, as well as EPYC 8004 Series server CPUs, are now available for purchase from Amazon.com. The NH-U14S TR5-SP6, a cooler that is said to offer maximum cooling performance at minimum noise levels, is available for EUR 129.90 / USD 129.90, while the NH-D9 TR5-SP6 4U, which features "excellent efficiency with a compact size for full 4U compatibility," is available for EUR 119.90 / USD 119.90. A new mounting kit called the NM-TR5-SP6 that upgrades existing TR4-SP3, DX-4677, DX-4189, and DX-3647 line coolers to support the new TR5/SP6 sockets of TRX50 and WRX90 motherboards is also available for EUR 19.90 / USD 19.90.

Should I take this as confirmation that my Heatkiller IV for my STRX4 Threadripper (3960x) will not work on the new Threadrippers?

Or is Noctua just using this launch as an occasion to update their product line?
