The Nintendo Switch 2 isn't expected to feature ultra-powerful gaming hardware, but that may not matter too much in the long run, as the system is now rumored to launch with support for the latest and greatest version of NVIDIA's DLSS technology. According to insider Nate the Hate, who shared a new video discussing the Switch 2's alleged feature set today, Nintendo's next system is going to leverage NVIDIA DLSS 3.5, the newest version of green team's game-enhancing suite that introduces Ray Reconstruction for improved ray-traced visuals—although at this point, it seems unclear as to whether Nintendo's implementation of the tech will reach parity with what's available on PC. While the Super Resolution and DLAA features of DLSS 3.5 seem like a given, including what is apparently Ray Reconstruction, Nate said that he has heard that Frame Generation "is being omitted." Recent rumors would suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 should be out by the end of 2024.
