QNAP has announced that the TVS-h674T-i5-32G, TVS-h874T-i7-32G, and TVS-h874T-i9-64G will soon be available for creative professionals and data hoarders to purchase. According to the manufacturer, these are the world's very first NAS units to support Thunderbolt 4, the soon-to-be-outclassed connectivity standard from Intel that delivers a maximum bandwidth of 40 Gbps. All of these units feature 12th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel UHD graphics, with the most advanced model, the TVS-h874T-i9-64G, featuring up to eight bays for 2.5-inch/3.5-inch HDD/SSDs and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.

At this point they should just label them as high demand digital streaming box's.
 
They are very handy little units. I’ve been deploying Synologies as local backup repositories and surveillance hubs. I’ve got 1 Qnap in the mix which is just as good as the synologies
