How well can Fallout work in a live-action format? Fans of the post-apocalyptic RPG from Bethesda will be able to get the answer to exactly that next year, as Amazon has announced that its Fallout TV show will begin streaming exclusively on Prime Video beginning April 12, 2024. The date was revealed by the official @falloutonprime account today, which posted a new Pip-Boy video to celebrate the day of the Great War. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the duo behind Westworld, are executive producing, while Walton Goggins, who was hired last year to play a Ghoul, leads the show's cast. A leaked trailer for the Fallout series, which Bethesda shared during gamescom 2023, can be found below.

This COULD be interesting. I like the world... it'll be important that they NAIL that. outside of that whatever steampunk/sci-fi story they come up with is fine.

I have a difficult time seeing this working in live action, but I guess I could always be surprised.

My favorite comment on the video:
