Miles Morales Is Insomniac’s “Main” Spider-Man Going Forward

Is Peter Parker going to get killed off in Marvel's Spider-Man 3? That could actually happen, as Insomniac Games has revealed that Miles Morales, the biracial Spider-Man that originally debuted in Marvel Comics in 2011 as part of the Ultimate Universe and got his own standalone game nearly a decade later, is now the "main" Spider-Man for the developer. Brittney Morris, one of Insomniac's writers, shared the news with Gizmodo as part of a recent interview, explaining that the switch from Parker to Morales was something that was bound to happen. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is now available to play exclusively on the PS5 for $69.99.

Not a surprise given the last few years nor from some of the reviews and footage I've seen of the latest game. Good luck Sony/Marvel/Insomniac with that plan though.

Spider Man is one of those overhyped games that I had a bad feeling about since day 1. I think I'd have hated even the first one which was supposed to be great.

Oh, and Miles Morales is Miles Morales.
