Google Fiber has announced that its new 20 Gig + Wi-Fi 7 plan will be available to select customers for $250 per month, not including applicable taxes and fees.

I'm not in a Google Fiber area, but $250 is a little much to spend on internet service, if you ask me, regardless of how much they throw in.

I could totally go for that 8 gig plan though.

I'd also have some concerns with having Google in even more places in my life. I guess there are always VPN's.

I don't know much about "Wifi 7", is this the one Microsoft has artificially limited to Windows 11 to coerce people to "upgrade"? Or was that 6?

I'm still on the old numbering scheme at home. 802.11ac. And I've had no reason to upgrade. Everything I care about is wired. Wifi is just there for phones and laptops, and performance doesn't really matter on those.
