GOG's selection of SNK games is growing today with the addition of 24 more classic titles, including Metal Slug 4, Samurai Shodown IV, and two KOF titles, including The King of Fighters '97 Global Match, an updated version of the 1997 fighter that improves upon the original with online multiplayer, the DRM-free digital distribution platform has announced.

GOG already had a decent amount of SNK games on there (and Steam too, though GOG has more I think). The emulation isn't the best, but usually the games comes with the bare ROMs which you can then use in a better emulator. So you have a legal copy of the ROM, if you don't own the original cartridges (and the equipment needed to dump the ROMs from your own cartridges). And let's be honest, as much as Neo-Geo games cost, the chances of you owning the original cartridges for these games are slim. I own an MVS (the arcade version of Neo-Geo, not the home version which is the AES), and cartridges for that tend to be way cheaper than AES cartridges, but good gawd they are still expensive as f*ck (well depending on the game, but something like Garou: MotW is well past $500 - though some AES games command quad-digit prices).
