Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Mufasa, a new movie that traces the origins of Simba's dad, the beloved king of Pride Lands who falls to his death in 1994's The Lion King. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 20.

wait, so now Mufasa is an orphan? yet he has Scar as a brother, (who was not invited to the film apparently).

Being disney, I'm thinking the Kiara will be the main character in spite of the title, and some sort of flashbacks to teach Kiara a lesson on how to be royalty and how she will eventually be KING. Because... inclusion :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I did like the live action version of TLK but I already not excited by this one.
 
Just found out why Scar is not in the movie, don't want to spoil it. It did spark my interest.
