UL is expanding the versatility of its popular 3DMark benchmarking tool with the addition of a set of dedicated CPU benchmarks. Unlike typical CPU benchmarks, 3DMark’s new benchmarks leverage a new approach that can show enthusiasts how their CPU performance scales with the number of cores and threads used instead of merely producing a single number. Users can find the new CPU Profile, which comprises six tests ranging from single thread to max threads, in 3DMark Advanced Edition and 3DMark Professional Edition.
