Are there even cases available now that has any external drive bays? Maybe budget cases that hasn't been retooled since the last millennium?

Yeah not so much - not like the older cases tho.
Although now we have video cards and PSUs and AIO cooler blocks that all have tiny OLED screens. They aren't terribly useful tho
