A District 9 Sequel Is Finally In the Works

A sequel to 2009’s critically acclaimed, documentary-style alien blockbuster, District 9, is finally in the works. The development has been confirmed by director Neil Blomkamp, who shared the news in a short tweet noting that the film would be written by Sharlto Copley and Terri Tatchell. Copley played the protagonist-turned-prawn Wikus Van De Merwe in the original, while Tatchell was credited for writing District 9 alongside Blomkamp.
