A New Xbox Series X Chip Is Reportedly in Development, Should Improve the Console’s Power Efficiency

Microsoft's Xbox Series X isn't all that old yet, but the company is already working on a revised version of the SoC for its flagship gaming console. That's according to journalist Brad Sams, who mentioned in a new video posted to his YouTube channel this week that he is "very confident" about a chip revision being in the works.

OF COURSE a chip revision is in the works. Every recent console has seen chip revisions come out. When the technology that your chip is made on is deprecated and you are paying more to make the old chip than it would cast to transition to the new technology OF COURSE you switch. No need to improve performance just improve efficiency and keep churning out the same performance units.

I mean sure it is of note... but it really isn't a SHOCKER any more.
