Microtransactions are the gift that keeps on giving for many game publishers, and Activision Blizzard is no exception. The company has published its “better-than-expected” third-quarter 2020 financial results, which reveal that it made $1.2 billion on microtransactions alone.



This is a shocking increase from the same quarter last year, where it “only” managed to make $709 million from microtransactions. The $491 million difference means that profits in this segment went up by 69 percent.

If they're making so much off of microtransactions then that means they don't need the "next gen" tax.
