Adobe Flash Player Support Officially Ends Tonight

Back in 2017, Adobe announced that it would cease support for its classic multimedia software, Flash Player, at the end of 2020. With today being December 31, 2020, the company will officially cut ties with the decades-old platform at the stroke of midnight. Flash content will also be blocked from running in Flash Player beginning on January 12.

Ah. Only 10 years overdue.

Let it go to the dust heap of history along with RealPlayer

With it finally gone the Internet will be a better place.

I built a lot of silly ad banners when it was still Macromedia...
Easy money back then, and a nice side gig for a Staging/Lighting/Photographer in NYC.

Last I used was Flash Professional 8.
 
LOL I think at work we still have some platforms that use flash for the mgmt gui's. I expect there will be lots of panic upgrades in Jan to get off of flash dependent versions.
