There's a new OLED option on the way for enthusiasts who don't think LG's displays are good enough. Alienware is reportedly releasing its 55" 4K OLED monitor on September 30, which was teased back in January at CES.
The AW5520QF offers an impressive native contrast ratio of 130:000:1, 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 0.5 ms response time (GTG), FreeSync support, and plenty of ports (DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 20). Unfortunately, it costs $3,999.99.
…it’s not uncommon for products showcased at CES to never hit the market. And some reports even claimed that the release of this monitor was unlikely. But the Alienware OLED monitor is definitely hitting stores in all its inky-black glory this fall. In fact, it'll be $1,500 than Dell originally estimated, the company told us.
