There have been a few reports published in the last week that suggested Amazon would soon allow customers to pay for their goods with cryptocurrency. Following a newer story by City A.M. that insisted the retail giant would begin accepting Bitcoin payments by the end of the year, an Amazon spokesperson has delivered a statement denying any such plans, stating that the speculation is “not true.” The company did clarify that it is “focused on exploring what this could look like” for its customers, however, which implies that Amazon could warm up to accepting BTC, ETH, ADA, and other popular digital coins for payment some day. This doesn't surprise me.

I always thought it would be a little too tricky to pull off given how volatile the cryptocurrencies are.

The prices would jump all over the place on even an hourly basis, which just isn't convenient for most consumers.
