Amazon in Talks to Acquire James Bond Studio MGM for $9 Billion

Amazon is currently in talks to acquire MGM for about $9 billion. The news comes from Variety and The Information, which explained that the deal would allow the world’s biggest etailer to roll iconic franchises such as James Bond, Rocky/Creed, and RoboCop into its growing streaming service, Prime Video. MGM also has an immense TV library comprising 17,000 episodes of programming.

This makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple did the same or opened their own studio. The movie studios are flailing and trying to recover and companies with big bucks can step in and bolster or pillage them as they see fit.
