AMD has launched a new sticker scheme that should make it easier for prospective Ryzen laptop buyers to determine what kind of Zen cores they'll actually be running. As noted on page 16 of a new marketing deck that AMD recently published, an orange label is being paired with laptops that feature a Zen 4 mobile processor (e.g., the 7040 and 7045 series), while a grey label is being reserved for those that are powered by older Zen 2 (7020) and Zen 3 (7030, 7035) parts. AMD's collection of Zen 4 mobile CPUs is headlined by the Ryzen 9 7945HX, a 16C/32T chip that boosts up to 5.4 GHz.
