AMD’s 7 nm Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” mobile processors are set to usher in a new generation of notebooks with incredible performance and graphics power, but how will they fare in terms of battery life? Extremely well, if recent remarks from an AMD executive are to be believed.
During a financial analyst briefing in San Francisco on Thursday, AMD’s Executive Vice President of the Computing and Graphics Business Group, Rick Bergman, suggested that some Ryzen 4000-powered laptops could last 18 hours on a single charge.
“We’ve moved all the way up to as much as 18 hours with our new Ryzen product,” said Bergman.
