A patent application for a new AMD technology dubbed “Gaming Super Resolution” has surfaced on the official US Patent and Trademark Office site. While it isn’t clear whether this is a subset of red team’s highly anticipated NVIDIA DLSS competitor FidelityFX Super Resolution or one in the same, there seems to be a definite relationship based on the abstract, which describes a process whereby low-resolution images are processed into higher-resolution images. Patent images for AMD’s Gaming Super Resolution have been extracted by Ayxeropis.
