A proper replacement for the Radeon RX Vega 56 could be right around the corner. According to Igor Wallossek's (Igor's Lab) sources, AMD will launch the Radeon RX 5600 XT in the third week of January, right after CES.

It's said to comprise 3/4th of a Navi 10 die, which would allude to "30 RDNA CUs, 1,920 SPs, 120 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and 3 MB of L2 cache." Memory wise, it'll feature a 192-bit bus and 6 GB of GDDR6 RAM (a previous leak hints at an additional 8 GB variant). The proposed specifications suggest a GPU that under performs the Radeon RX 5700 XT by 25%.

Technically, AMD could put up to 12GB of GDDR6 memory into the Radeon RX 5600 XT if the chipmaker desires. At any rate, the 6GB variant would be a hard sell considering that the lower-tier Radeon RX 5500 XT is available with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.
