AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Has Some Life Left in It

These days, Radeon fans are primarily concerned with AMD’s new RDNA-2 hotness, the Radeon RX 6000 Series, but its current flagship may be around for a decent while after being supplanted. That’s according to VideoCardz’s sources, which revealed that the Radeon RX 5700 XT would be manufactured until “at least Q1 2021.”



“We have been told that Radeon RX 5700 XT is not discontinued,” an update reads. “The card will be manufacturer till at least Q1 2021.”



The news comes on the footsteps of a previous report by Cowcotland, which confidently stated that the Radeon RX 5700 XT was discontinued. Evidently, that isn’t the case.

Who was expecting anyone to discontinue their current top tier card until the next gen is well under way? I mean this seems obvious to me.

Now to still be producing NEW ones in these last few months... one would assume AMD would want to clear any back inventory before making more.
