AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT to Target 1440p Gaming with 12 GB of GDDR6 Memory

It’s no secret that AMD is preparing additional Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards aimed at the more mainstream and casual markets. These would include the Radeon RX 6700 XT and Radeon RX 6700, which Hardwareluxx editor Andreas Schilling teased in a new tweet this morning. According to Schilling, these mid-range RDNA 2 models will, perhaps unsurprisingly, target gamers who are content with a 1440p gaming experience. The GPUs are also said to boast 12 GB of GDDR6 memory.



Previous leaks have suggested that the Radeon RX 6700 XT will feature 40 Compute Units, 2,560 Stream Processors, a 192-bit memory bus, and a TGP of around 185 to 210 watts. Specifications for the Radeon RX 6700 are more of a mystery, but it should be safe to...

I thought the plain 6800 was the 1440p card?
 
Doesn't matter, won't be in stock any more than any other new gpu to the market
 
I got a 6800xt because I want decent refresh rates with everything on in 1440p.

More demanding games are coming sooner than later with the new consoles out. I want to enjoy them. :)
