AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Falls Short of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080|3090 In Geekbench OpenCL Test

TUM_APISAK has spotted OpenCL benchmarks for AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card on Geekbench. The flagship RDNA 2 GPU managed a score of 169779, which is lower than the averages reported for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs. Those models are listed with scores of 202869 (a 19 percent improvement) and 177724 (a 4 percent improvement), respectively.



Note that the System Information portion only lists a maximum frequency of 2.02 GHz for the AMD Radeon RX 6900...

I’m not too surprised. It has more SP than the 6800XT, but the same TDP. Maybe AIBs can unlock a bit more out of it.
 
I'm still not convinced GeekBench is a worthwhile benchmark at all.
