The Radeon RX 590's replacement is supposedly just around the corner. According to IT Home, AMD will be releasing its Radeon RX 5500-series graphics cards on December 12, 2019. Early benchmarks suggest that it'll be a good choice for power-efficient, 1080p gaming.

A few days ago, the foreign media TPU also announced the AMD RX 5500 graphics card evaluation . The results show that the performance of this graphics card is comparable to Nvidia's GTX 1650 Super, which is priced between 1199 yuan and 1499 yuan. According to Bobantang, the new RX5500 series products will replace the RX590 series models.

I'd like to see something like a 5600/XT pop up to slot in to the performance segment of the Vega 56/64. I could go for Vega 64 performance with half TDP priced somewhere between the 5500 and 5700. That could be enough for folk who have held on to their old 470/480 cards to upgrade. I have a 580 and 5500 appears as a side-grade looking at it purely based on performance.

Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing a 5800 and 5900 fill out the top end of the market either.

Yar, that's what I want to see the most. I'm not planning on upgrading my RTX 2080 Super anytime soon, however, if AMD can bring competition to the high end and lower prices - I'll gladly upgrade my GPU.

5500 series - I forgot these cards got paper launched back in October or so. Still can't believe we haven't heard anything about 5600 or 5800+

Not really paper launched, but OEM launched... So they should be coming out in oem systems soon enough I suppose.
