The current Ryzen lineup comprises 4-, 6-, 8-, 12-, and 16-core processors. That could be changing. According to Yuri Bubliy (author of DRAM Calculator and ClockTuner for Ryzen), AMD will be introducing 10-core SKUs as part of its upcoming Ryzen 4000 Series “Vermeer” family, which leverages the Zen 3 microarchitecture.
How does he know this? AGESA. Bubliy says that evidence of 10-core models can be found in BIOSes that contain the latest version, 1.0.8.1. The developer also noted that Zen 3 processors will feature a “Curve Optimizer” and Infinity Fabric dividers, which will let users customize their boost frequencies and get higher memory controller frequencies, respectively.
