AMD’s latest and greatest APU could be just around the corner. VideoCardz has published the first photo of the Ryzen 7 4700G, confirming earlier rumors of “Renoir” hitting the desktop space. This is an 8C/16T APU that trounces the current champ, the Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics, with a base/boost clock of 3.6 GHz/4.4 GHz and 8 CUs clocked at 2100 MHz.

Is it me or does the "47" on the "4700G" look photo-chopped in?
 
It's not just you, there's a conspicuous lack of background noise in the area - the kerning is weird, and as (indirectly) pointed out it is strangely offset from the rest.

Personally, then I'm looking forward to the memory latency stats on those things.

Because surely, if the 4800H practically matches the 3700x in most tasks despite having a quarter of the L3 cache - something must have budged.
