The Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the first "Zen 5" desktop processor to feature 3D V-Cache technology, will be released on Thursday, November 7, according to the latest promotional materials from AMD, including a tweet from Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at the company.

While I am looking forward to this release, it's still somewhat baffling that this upcoming 9800X3D hits a similar Cinebench R23 score of the four year old 12700K, at ~25000. Obviously the 9800X3D will be able to hit that score at between 1/2 and 2/3 the power usage, so it's not like there hasn't been an improvement!
