The specifications of AMD’s upcoming family of Ryzen PRO 5000G processors have leaked. As noted in the screenshot shared by leaker @momomo_us, the flagship 8-core Ryzen 7 PRO 5750G will feature a base clock of 3.8 GHz, while the midrange, 6-core Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G will feature a slightly higher base clock of 3.9 GHz. AMD’s 4-core Ryzen 3 PRO 5350G, the lowliest member, will feature an even higher base clock of 4.0 GHz. All of these chips have a TDP of 65 watts.

I have an X58 system that is dying - freezes up and has to be rebooted frequently. I'd like to replace it with one of these, or even a 3000 series APU, but even the 3200G is running about $180 now plus I'd need a mobo and RAM. I think I'll be reviving my old 6700K system for free.

Not a thing wrong with a 6700k!

I even had one once... traded it for a 7600k (same basic die with Hyperthreading disabled) and some cash, mostly because I didn't need the 'nicer' CPU after I picked up an 8700k.

Biggest problem today is finding a good, working ~Z77 board to put those first two Skylake gen CPUs into. I have exactly one myself, and it's running that 7600k!

I'd take a 5000 series APU in either an 8 or 6 core. Why they chose to keep the 4000 series APU's for oems only bugged me.
A 4700G has some uses at my place
